ABOUT Storytelling FOR KIDS

The audience learns about myths, legends and tales from the main civilizations and cultures. Through the stories, the audience will travel to different regions around the Spanish speaking countries. You will be involved in the story from the beginning to the end by looking at the visual materials that support the learning experience, but also by participating through the story by singing, dancing, pretending and even sometimes making some delicious recipes. Our distinctive technique to tell stories offer enhanced engagement, knowledge, retention, and deeper emotional connection by transforming passive audiences into active participants. Our stories ignite curiosity and provide motivation to learn and be attentive the entire time. Esther creates and designs the entire program based on the age and needs of the audience.
DURATION
Depending on the age of the audience, our programs can be from 45 minutes to 60 minutes long but can be customized to the audience.

About the Narrator
If you have met Esther Gomez, you know that she has a unique and peculiar way of teaching but also of telling stories. She manages the volume, tone, rhythm and intonation of her voice to give emphasis and personality to the characters. Her gestures, and expressions bring stories to life, connecting with the audience through creativity and adaptability. She loves the interaction with her audience creating a magical atmosphere that stimulates the imagination. Esther can adapt the story based on the audience’s reactions or even improvise parts of the tale, which encourage you to keep imagining, laughing, participating, enjoying, and sometimes even acting with her.

The structure of the Program is divided it into four parts:
Storytelling
Use your imagination to travel through all Latin America learning about myths, legends and tales. You will be involved in the story from the beginning to the end by looking at the visual materials that support the learning experience, but also the audience participates through the story by singing, dancing, pretending and even sometimes making some delicious recipes. We also tell stories by using a Kamishibai. Our unique way to tell you a story will help you to enhances language skills, improve listening and promote cultural awareness. Because Esther is a passionate storyteller, she assures that the audience immerse themselves into the story by using traditional costumes and set design by reflecting the character’s traits and historical settings.
Handmade Crafts
Engaging un cultural crafts after the narration provides the audience with a hands-on opportunity to demonstrate their understanding. Depending on the story and their age of the audience, this handmade craft is inspired by different cultures. The audience in some stories is asked to create a pictogram.
Cultural Storytelling
Our storytelling introduces children to timeless folktales, holiday traditions, and real-life cultural experiences from across Spain and Latin America. Whether it’s discovering the adventures of La Llorona, celebrating Día de los Muertos, or learning songs that have been sung for generations, each story is designed to spark imagination while building language skills.
By weaving language and culture together, we inspire curiosity, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the Spanish-speaking world. Every story becomes a journey that helps students grow not only as learners but also as global citizens.

Cultural Program
from Mexico:
Recuerdame
This Immersive Storytelling will make you participate from the beginning to the end. Learn how a girl from Oaxaca, Mexico remembers her father and how she prepares to honor him setting up an Altar. Try a sample of the traditional bread (pan de Muerto), sing, dance and celebrate the life of our loved ones, and learn about its connections to Monarch Butterflies.

The audience will learn a song while they color, cut and paste all the elements that form the Altar. We have different type of Altars, from the easy ones to the tridimensional ones. Our host can decide what kind of craft will be good for their audience.

This Immersive Storytelling will make you participate from the beginning to the end. Discover why a girl from Cali, Colombia celebrates ” La Noche de las Velitas” (the Night of Candles) and why Latin people called the New Year’s Eve, “el Año Viejo”, (the Old Year).
