Hola, Hola, ¿cómo estás? yo muy bien y tú ¿qué tal?

Hello, How are you? I am very good. How about you?

About Spanish Fun Program

Our journey started 21 years ago when our founder Esther Gomez, noticed that a second language was only offered in middle and high school. Although you can learn a language at any time in life, the best time to learn a language would be before 10 to become completely fluent.

Spanish is the second most spoken language. Learning Spanish opens doors to a vast cultural landscape and offers significant advantages in various professional fields. Spanish enhances travel experiences; it also can expand your worldview, improve your communication skills and foster personal growth.

Our Mission is to equip our students with fluency and cultural understanding in the Spanish language and to educate students about the rich diversity of Spanish speaking cultures and their traditions. We believe that a language is not only about grammar, but also about culture, folklore, traditions, music, food, idiomatic expressions and much more. We invite you to live a full experience in our immersive classes.

We offer a variety of programs for all ages, from babies to seniors. Providing a variety of programs, classes, workshops, field trips, storytelling, and more at libraries, public and private schools, daycares, summer camps, home schoolings, after-schools, senior centers, assisting living, recreation departments, shopping malls, bookstores, private and semiprivate classes, birthday parties and private events.

We love meeting kids and families during our Summer and Fall Outdoor Events in where we offer a sensory and emotional experience by dancing, singing and shouting but also by fostering a sense of community.

Our New Bilingual Immersive Storytelling Fun Program in which the audience travels using their imagination through all Latin America learning about myths, legends and tales. You will be involved in the story from the beginning to the end by looking at the visual materials that support the learning experience, but also, the audience participates through the story by singing, dancing, pretending and even making some delicious recipes. We also tell funny and cute stories by using a Kamishibai. Our unique way to tell you a story will help you to enhances language skills, improve listening and promote cultural awareness. What a good way to learn Spanish, right?

You can learn and practice Spanish during our Learning to Cook Fun Program, in where students engage in a conversation and expand vocabulary while they discover new flavors and textures by connecting with other cultures and dishes from Latin America.

Our After-School Programs make language acquisition accessible for students of all ages, while our Homeschooling Programs provide a comfortable, family-centered approach to language education.

Our Spanish Special Fun Programs such as La Loteria-Bingo and Make a Handmade Piñata are very popular because they offer another way to learn Spanish by providing interactive and contextual learning of vocabulary and grammar through fun, creating an enjoyable and lower stress learning environment for all ages.

Do not forget our Fun Field Trips which are hands-on experiences for our students that make lessons more memorable and enjoyable by connecting classroom concepts to the real world.

Why Fun?

At Spanish Fun, we know that when a student (of any age) learns in a fun way, it triggers the secretion of dopamine, which is associated with attention, concentration, movement, memory, and learning. Games are authentic dopamine circuits, as the brain releases it both in response to challenges and in achieving each activity. Spanish Fun understands that playing has an impact on our students’ mental state, making them relax, concentrate, and be happier. Students are more willing to participate, learn faster, and retain information better because the process of learning is memorable and pleasant.

Having fun and being excited about learning increases brain activity that rewards, motivates, energizes, and improves learning and memory. The social interaction of playing with family and friends helps ward off stress, stimulates the mind, and boost creativity.

All our programs are energetic, fun and engaging but full of culture, traditions, music, dancing, and even food. Our programs are based on the activities that make learning engaging and enjoyable. By using interactive games, toys, visual learning material, puppets, musical instruments, parachutes, contagious songs and more our students learn Spanish having FUN.

About the owner.

Hola! I am Esther Gomez, founder and director of the Spanish Fun Program with many years teaching, educating and inspiring through culture and traditions by connecting, engaging and evoking emotions.

My favorite part of my weekly routine is to create fun classes and programs using “out of the box” teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and effective for students of all ages.

As a child, I always wanted to be a teacher and an actress. My favorite games were when I would have my dolls, my sister Gaby and my cousin Tania sitting like students while I was preparing the class. I remember with joy how much I enjoyed dancing, singing and teaching them the choreography of songs at family parties.

I am very fortunate to work doing what I enjoy the most. I deeply love teaching with enthusiasm using engaging methods to inspire a lifelong love of learning. I adapt to different learning styles and create strong bonds with students through effective communication and by connecting the subject matter to real life experiences.

I took 4 years of Drama, Acting, Teather and Public Speaking classes in Mexico and I am a passionate Storyteller who loves to engage with the audience of all ages and hold their attention by creating an imaginative world through acting, dance, music, culture, traditions and food.

I am very creative, energetic, enthusiastic, patient, empathetic, positive, cheerful, and a lifelong learner. I love to travel and meet people from all over the world. I love languages, I speak English, Spanish and Portuguese.

I am very proud to be Mexican American citizen. I love my origins and all the culture of Hispanic Countries. I have a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad del Pedregal in Mexico City.

Last but not least, I am a proud mom of an entrepreneur young man, a happy wife, a dog lover, a hard worker and an unstoppable dreamer who inherited this from my Mexican ancestors.
