Postres in Latin America: Chocolate, Churros y Fiesta for kids
and families.

Explore the stories and folklore behind traditional Latin American desserts with Esther Gomez
from Spanish Fun. Esther will also share recipes for some delicious desserts and offer each
participant a generous taste of churros and hot chocolate prepared using an Aztec recipe.
Spice up your day with “Churros, Chocolate y FIESTA”! This isn’t just a cooking adventure—it’s
a full-on fiesta! We’ll dive into the rich stories behind chocolate and churros, and then roll up our
sleeves to make them ourselves! 
With Latin beats, cumbia, mariachi rhythms, and plenty of
laughter, you’ll taste, dance, and create. Come for the churros, stay for the joy!

A great way to practice Spanish, is by ACTING.Some of the benefits of acting are Inspiration, confidence building,teamwork, collaboration, and improved communication. During this FunPlay, students will practice Spanish and learn about The Celebration ofCinco de Mayo, After the Fun Play, they will offer a concha (a sweetMexican bread) to other students, all the activity will be in Spanish!

SPANISH FUN PROGRAM
We start the Program by dancing a Mexican song with the rhythm of the Mariachi music. The audience loves to see my beautiful Mexican dress. By learning and singing our Hola song, the class starts. Kids love to have fun with the parachute; they learn vocabulary by playing with it. I use puppets and engaging games to teach them the days of the week, the months of the year, and many more vocabularies. They play, dance, jump, and run following directions in Spanish to mention a few. This class is very active, with different activities to engage the kids. My puppet Lola is always hungry, and she invites the audience to go to “El Mercado” and buy some food for her. Lola gives them a Mexican bag, and the audience pretend to buy food. Then, she asks the kids to give her food. This activity is great to teach them vocabulary. At the end of the program, we play with the Parachute and balls. The program is designed to be dynamic, energetic, interactive, and enjoyable.

 ¡Hola, little explorers! Join us for a joyful bilingual storytime where we’ll sing, move, and play our way into Spanish! From fun puppets to parachutes, we’ll jump into stories and games that spark wonder. Perfect for babies up to age five, this lively adventure is all about giggles, movement, and learning, as we bring two languages to life—together!

Las Mariposas Monarca.

Meet Kathy, a curious, funny, and energetic caterpillar. Kathy loves to dance, sing, play games but also eat. Kathy will show you step by step how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly.

Students will learn about the life cycle of a butterfly and their 4 stages which are collectively known as metamorphosis. Each student will follow the 4 stages by doing 100% hands on activities in each stage full of songs and dancing. Once they completed the 4 stages of a butterfly, they will wear a butterfly custom. Students will fly to Mexico by singing and dancing, students will learn when and how the Monarch butterflies arrive in Mexico.

Each student will keep their own butterfly egg, caterpillar, chrysalis and the adult butterfly.
