Spanish Fun Storytelling Series for children.
This is a fun way to learn about the main civilizations and cultures in the Americas. Through the stories the audience will travel the continent in a series that include different regions and traditions.This program is a family oriented Spanish immersion for those who practice the language or for those who want to learn. The program will be adapted for participation of the entire family.
Storytelling
Based on history, myths and legends, and narrated simultaneously in English and Spanish by native Spanish speakers who would wear traditional dresses. The narrators would use visual support to enhance the learning experience.
Music & Songs
Sing and dance, playing with rhythms and vocabulary based on the story, sometimes we use traditional hispanic instruments. It’s so fun you forget you’re learning the language! Many students leave still singing.. IN SPANISH!
Dynamic Games
Learn about the traditions and products from the main civilizations and cultures in the Americas. We have games designed for all ages and levels. Our games are interactive, require you to think, and speak the language.
Arts & Crafts
Being creative is the best way to learn. Children and parents will create and decorate their own art pieces inspired by the story. Each story can have a different art project, designed to make you learn Spanish. Materials are included.
Structure of the Program
Bilingual Storytelling, based on history, myths, tales, and legends, narrated
consecutive in English and Spanish by native Spanish speakers who would wear
traditional dresses. The narrators would use visual support to enhance the learning
experience.
After the Narration, depending on the story, the activities could include:
Arts and Crafts: Children and parents will create, decorate, and or color their own
pieces, inspired by the story. Materials are included.
Singing and Dancing: The audience will sing and/or dance, playing with rhythms and
vocabulary based on the story.
Dynamic game, the audience will play, incorporating some traditional elements from the
main civilizations and cultures in the Americas.
60 minute session
20 minutes for storytelling
20 minutes for arts and crafts activity
20 minutes for singing dancing and dynamic games.

Narrators:
Esther Gomez and Karina Liendo are two passionate entrepreneurs, both born and raised in Mexico and Peru respectively. Esther has more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish to children in the Massachusetts area. Karina has traveled to 30 countries including 9 in Latin America, she is a facilitator, and is being trained as a storyteller by the Escuela de Cuentacuentos in Madrid Spain.

Each country has different traditions, but all of them have in common family reunions celebrating with big meals and gifts. In this story a young girl visits her grandma’s house to experience a multicultural festivity and a magic night that she will always remember.

The Inti Raymi Festival, the Inti Raymi history dates back to the start of Tawantinsuyu, the Quechua term for the Inca Empire. Inti Raymi was the most important Incan festival as it was their New Year celebration. The festival celebrated the return of the sun (Inti) during the winter solscite, and the connection of the Sapa Inca with his people.
