Spanish Fun Storytelling Series for adults
This is a fun way to learn about the main civilizations and cultures in the Americas. Through the stories the audience will travel the continent in a series that includes different regions and traditions. This program is designed for those who practice Spanish or for those who want to learn.
Storytelling
Based on history, myths and legends, and narrated simultaneously in English and Spanish by native Spanish speakers who would wear traditional dresses. The narrators would use visual support to enhance the learning experience.

Through questions related to the story, we will invite the audience to share what they learned, and their own stories.
Dynamic Games
The audience will learn and play traditional games from the main civilizations and cultures in the Americas. We could also include or choose singing and dancing, playing with rhythms and vocabulary based on the story.
Arts & Crafts
The audience will create, draw, or paint their own pieces inspired by the story. Materials are included.
Structure of the Program For Adults
Each program will include:
● Bilingual Storytelling, based on history, myths, tales, and legends, narrated consecutive in English and Spanish by native Spanish speakers who would wear traditional dresses. The narrators would use visual support to enhance the learning experience.
After the Narration, depending on the story, the activities could include:
● A brief discussion, through questions related to the story, we will invite the audience to share what they learned, and their own stories.
● Arts and Crafts, the audience will create, draw, or paint their own pieces inspired by the story. Materials are included.
● Dynamic Activity, the audience will learn and play traditional games from the main civilizations and cultures in the Americas. We could also include or choose singing and dancing, playing with rhythms and vocabulary based on the story.
60 minute session
The program is designed to be dynamic, energetic, interactive, and enjoyable. We typically divide it into four parts:
15 to 20 minutes for storytelling
5 to 10 minutes for brief discussion
15 to 20 minutes for arts and craft activity
10 minutes for a dynamic activity

Narrators:
Esther Gomez and Karina Liendo are two passionate entrepreneurs, both born and raised in Mexico and Peru respectively. Esther has more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish to children in the Massachusetts area. Karina has traveled to 30 countries including 9 in Latin America, she is a facilitator, and is being trained as a storyteller by the Escuela de Cuentacuentos in Madrid Spain.

Each country has different traditions, but all of them have in common family reunions celebrating with big meals and gifts. In this story a young girl visits her grandma’s house to experience a multicultural festivity and a magic night that she will always remember.

The Inti Raymi Festival, the Inti Raymi history dates back to the start of Tawantinsuyu, the Quechua term for the Inca Empire. Inti Raymi was the most important Incan festival as it was their New Year celebration. The festival celebrated the return of the sun (Inti) during the winter solscite, and the connection of the Sapa Inca with his people.

It is a story deeply rooted in the oral tradition of the Colombian Amazon and part of the eastern plains. Madre Monte is commonly represented as a beautiful and strong woman, half woman and half mountain; dressed in leaves and green moss, whose face cannot be seen. She is the protector of Nature.
