    We’ll start by diving into the story behind Mexico’s beloved Lotería, bringing its rich history to life through engaging storytelling. We'll get hands-on and make fresh salsa using traditional molcajetes. Then, we’ll jump into a lively Lotería game—full of laughs and Spanish phrases. It’s a fiesta for your mind, your taste buds, and your Spanish skills—all rolled into one unforgettable session!

    About the Instructor: Esther Gomez is a passionate entrepreneur from Mexico and the founder and director of the Spanish Fun Program. With over 20 years of experience teaching students in Massachusetts, Esther creates fun and engaging programs rich in culture, music, dance, and traditional cuisine. Her unique teaching style effortlessly immerses and captivates her audience. 

     In addition to her core classes, Esther is a professional storyteller who, during her high school and university years, studied theater for five years in Mexico at La Salle. Now, she leads the Bilingual Immersive Storytelling Program, where you’re not just a spectator—you’re the star! With Esther’s vibrant style, you’ll act, play, and speak Spanish from start to finish. She uses dynamic visuals that whisk you right into the scene—whether it’s sharing Frida Kahlo’s tales, flipping tacos, making churros, celebrating Day of the Dead, and more. You don’t just sit and watch—you live the story, singing, dancing, cooking, eating, laughing, and having fun—an unforgettable, engaging journey!

  • Day of the Dead; Here come the Monarch Butterflies' at Wilmington Library

    Join us for a heartfelt celebration inspired by one of Mexico's most cherished traditions.
    Follow Teté, a beautiful monarch butterfly and beloved mother and grandmother, on her first journey home. As children wear monarch wings and adults carry colorful paper butterflies, the audience will create a beautiful ofrenda (altar) with cempasúchil flowers, glowing candles, family photographs, sugar skulls, and special offerings to welcome loved ones with love. Surrounded by vibrant papel picado, music, and fluttering butterflies, we'll sing, dance, share traditional Pan de Muerto (Bread of the Dead) and Hot Chocolate. Celebrate the beautiful belief that those we love live forever in our hearts.
